STRENGTH AND WEEKNESS

Below I have listed all the Strengths that i think i have throughout out the pre production and production stage

  • lots of good effective use of camera shots and lost of good exiting framings
  • shorter shots to keep the audience interested
  • mixed and taste in music
  • great mise en scene setting and prop- sense of realism
  • lots of restricted shot shot to apply the convention and give a sense of enigma
  • limited but still used special effect of flash back and sound of the gun being fired
  • costume and props well thought about to create that sense of normality
  • Inventive cinematography
  • title are very effective
Weaknesses and improvements:
  • the opening sequence could be portrayed as a thriller trailer- to many quick short shots ?
  • Music Changed too quickly and the change in music is very different hard to follow what it may be conveying
  • Walking shots are too long/ less action shown ?
  • Poor quality in bedroom scene needs better lighting and better camera work to keep audience interested
  • Music at the is not that great in my opinion needs to be improved and worked on to convey meaning
  • the acting was not so good next time choose better actors during auditions

LIVE TYPE PRACTICE

This short clip is of a title idea that i was working on. we decided to change the colour as it s to conventional. Furthermore it looks more of a horror title than thriller.

COMPANY LOGO- HOLLOW TREE

This short clip shows our finished company logo that we will be using for our film.

MUSIC IDEAS

This consists of the sound effects that i was thinking of adding to the opening sequence to make it more realistic. the first sound is of the thunder. i did end up using this effect for the logo at the start as it fits in with the image. the second is of a police siren which i did not use as it would have been a random sound, which didnt really fit in with the story.

EDITING PROCESS

Here are some screen grabs showing a few things that we did during the production stage to edit our opening sequence and to other things such as making the title and creating our own music.
